The University of Central Lancashire’s Research and Enterprise Service is seeking to recruit an Analytics Project Officer to support data collection and analysis relating to our research and knowledge exchange activities, and our submission to Research England’s Research Excellence Framework (REF) assessment in 2027. This is an exciting, varied and busy role based in our Impact and Outputs Unit, which is responsible for REF and KEF preparations, benchmarking research performance, Open Research, researcher development and impact.
The successful candidate will be responsible for analysing and reporting upon a range of datasets, benchmarking the University against the sector, modelling scenarios to support decision-making, and collating key REF and KEF datasets. The post holder will be educated to Degree level or have equivalent experience and/or professional/technical qualifications in an information related field such as statistics, mathematics or information science.
The ideal candidate will enjoy working with data. They will have well-developed Excel skills, with experience of combining data to create well-presented reports for key stakeholders, and using their analytical skills to draw out key trends. They will be able to analyse and present complex information in a clear and engaging way, and be able to work and engage effectively with a wide range of academic and Professional Services staff.
