program manager Manchester, England

Lancashire Teaching Hospitals
Full Time Manchester, England 81138 - 70417 GBP ANNUAL Today
Job description

Working for the NHS is full-on, fast-paced, constantly changing yet hugely rewarding. We’re looking for a new team member to join our dynamic, matrix-style team, bringing experience and expertise to help us engage, develop, and enhance the quality of what we do.

If you’re looking for a role which provides the opportunity for both structured and creative activities, then this new role in our team will give you the best of both worlds. We want you to join us and together we will implement and evolve the role, ensuring it delivers the difference we want to see.

The Programme Manager role will be focused on the North West Secure Data Environment transformational programme.

Secure data environments (SDEs) are data storage and access platforms, which uphold the highest standards of privacy and security of NHS health and social care data when used for research and analysis. They allow approved users to access and analyse data without the data leaving the environment.

SDEs will deliver more rapid and efficient healthtech innovation for England. In line with recommendations included within Ben Goldacre’s ‘Better, broader, safer’ review, our data strategy commits to transparent procurement, acquisition, and use of SDEs.

The Sub National SDEs are NHS-led and bring together Integrated Care Boards with local universities and industry partners to build on existing collaborations and successful research partnerships.

We want someone proactive, who can help liaise, learn and develop our programme. You’ll form relationships with our team ensuring they are supported and that the quality of all we do is the highest it can be.

Our staff are not numbers, they are all real people doing real roles, so its important to us that the work we do supports this and that at all stages, our staff and managers are communicated with, so they are clear on where things are up to and on expectations.

In November 2021 the then Secretary of State for Health and Social Care set out their intention to merge Health Education England with NHS England and accepted a recommendation from the Chair of NHS Digital to merge NHS Digital and NHSX with NHS England.

Our new operating model represents a strong shift to regional delivery supported by expert corporate teams. Local health systems are supported by our integrated regional teams who play a major leadership role in the geographies they manage.

We are jointly committed to creating and maintaining a fair and supportive working environment and culture, where contributions are fully recognised and valued by all and staff feel empowered to carry out their duties to the best of their abilities. As employers we are committed to promoting and protecting the physical and mental health and well-being of all our staff. This underpins our values as set out in the NHS Constitution, supports us to be an Employer of Choice and ultimately enables our employees to support the effective care of our patients.

As well as working for an award-winning organisation, you’ll join a strong and dedicated team who work hard together and support each other. We will ensure you have access to all the development you need to help you thrive. We will actively encourage you to use your proactive skills, challenging us to be an even better version of ourselves.

To provide a key proactive role within the North West Secure Data Environment programme to deliver a comprehensive programme manager offer for the organisation with a key focus on quality, stakeholder experience, engagement and building relationships.
