Salary Range: $20,000-$25,000
The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
Position Summary
Reporting to the Director of Education in the Office of Educational Initiatives, the Temporary Program Assistant will support the school's educational mission by working with a wide range of aspects of the MPH curriculum and other centralized school educational offerings.
The Program Assistant will coordinate and support the MPH Core curriculum, Integration of Science & Practice course (ISP), and Leadership course.
Responsibilities
Managing all PUBH course schedules and coordinating space availability
Implementation of all MPH Core programs and systems
In conjunction with Educational Initiatives team, ensuring training and supervision of all PUBH teaching assistants
In conjunction with Educational Initiatives team, overseeing the day-to-day functioning of the MPH Core, ISP, and Leadership
Student-related
Responding to student issues and inquiries
Collaborating with the Office of Student Affairs in implementing student accommodations and allowances
MSPH School-Wide Curriculum Committee
Organizing materials and agenda items for monthly meetings throughout the academic year
Tracking committee decisions and coordinating with the Office of Enrollment Management and other OE teams on implementing the approved decisions
Providing background research and evidence-based recommendations for how to issues and questions around educational policy at the School and CU level
Assistance as needed with additional program logistics once approved
Other responsibilities as needed
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent and 2-3 years of related experience
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail
Proven ability to set and meet project deadlines
Effective communicator in a wide variety of settings
Requires proficiency with Microsoft Suite
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in a relevant field (MPH preferred)
Prior experience working in education administration or with academic programs
Preferred experience with the Canvas, learning management system, and Qualtrics
