Duties
  • Conduct data analytics involving a broad range of programs addressing the needs and challenges of service members and their families.
  • Develop reporting and metric methodologies for use in tracking and monitoring programs and services.
  • Provide expert consultation on all research projects relevant to assigned programs and contracts.
  • Responsible for engaging in assigned contract pre-award, award and post-award activities; remain familiar with all aspects of the contract.
  • Deal with significant and complex issues to respond to the needs of service members and their families by increasing connections with America?s communities, Military OneSource, and other programs.
  • Conduct unprecedented special assignments on complex high-priority issues in which the scope frequently alters as the work progresses.
  • Review assigned programs for potential efficiencies based on joint service initiatives and/or federal partnership opportunities.
  • Establish feedback mechanisms through the military services and reserve component program managers to conduct ongoing information and needs assessment.
  • Perform a full range of first-level supervisory responsibilities; plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, set and adjust short-term priorities, and prepare schedules for completion of work.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes conducting data analytics of programs addressing the needs of service members and their families, collaborating with stakeholders to address the needs of service members and their families, developing reporting and metric methodologies for use in tracking programs, utilizing data sources to research, extract, and/or organize information, and supervising employees and/or leading teams. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-14).

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone-no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
