Production/Workshop Manager

We are Wilder Creative, a bespoke joinery company specialising in the designing and making of fitted furniture for the commercial and high-end, residential market.

Our design studio and workshop are based in Leyton, East London. We are a friendly team of approximately 5 office staff and 12 workshop staff.

A Production Manager is required to manage the planning, coordination, and control of the manufacturing processes of our busy joinery workshop. The successful candidate must ensure our projects and furniture are produced efficiently and at the right cost and level of quality. You will oversee the general production process, draw up production schedules as well as being involved with the pre-production requirements (ordering materials etc) ensuring the whole production process is cost effective. You will be the sole point of contact for the carpenters and workshop team, and will facilitate information being passed from our studio to workshop. As soon as a project becomes live, the Production Manager will manage communications between internal and external stakeholders, other site sub-contractors and suppliers. It is crucial they can undertake this in a confident manner.

The Production Manager will supervise and motivate the production team and review staff performance. The ideal candidate will have a track record of Production Management in a similar joinery environment. We have a very high standard of work and it will be your responsibility to ensure this quality is maintained.

Required skills:

- Previous joinery/furniture making industry experience. It is crucial that they have an in depth understanding of how bespoke furniture is made being able to interpret a design pack through to realising the final product

- Strong production management and production planning experience

- A confident personality who can take charge

- Experience managing supervising and motivating production teams under strict deadlines

- Good knowledge of computers and CAD is essential- UK driving licence (clean)- Very good organisational skills are imperative.- Long term commitment, and desire to grow with the company

- This role may suit an established production/workshop manager or a senior joiner with team management experience

Salary and benefits:

This is a full time role with a salary discussed on application, depending on experience. We offer 22 days paid holiday per annum, plus bank holidays and a day off for your birthday
