Job description
We are seeking a highly motivated and talented individual to join our team as a Sign Shop Designer/Print/Production Associate. This position requires a strong background in graphic design, print production, and sign manufacturing.
As the Sign Shop Designer/Print/Production Associate, you will be responsible for creating visually stunning graphics, preparing them for printing, and producing high-quality signs for our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Work with clients to understand their needs and design concepts that meet their requirements.
- Prepare print-ready files for a variety of printing methods (digital, silk screen, vinyl, etc.) and oversee the printing process from start to finish.
- Operate and maintain printing equipment to ensure accuracy and quality of the output.
- Create custom signs and productions that meet clients' needs using a wide range of materials including acrylic, aluminum, PVC, and vinyl.
- Produce custom vinyl graphics and lettering for indoor and outdoor signage applications using a variety of tools, including plotters, cutters, and laminators.
- Install signage at client locations, ensuring the placement and alignment meet client requirements.
- Ensure that all work meets the highest standards of quality, and that all deadlines are met.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure a safe and productive work environment.
Requirements:
- Past experience in a sign shop or print production setting.
- Experience using Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
- Experience with printing processes and techniques, including offset printing, screen printing, and digital printing.
- Knowledge of materials used in sign production and finishing techniques such as lamination and mounting.
- Ability to operate and maintain printing equipment such as plotters, cutters, and laminators.
- Good project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Starting wage range will be based on past industry experience.
