Job Title: Bank General Assistant - Maycroft Care Home
Location: Brighton
Salary: £10.90 per hour
Maycroft Care Home in Brighton is currently seeking a highly motivated and versatile individual to join our team as a Bank General Assistant. The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of tasks including housekeeping, kitchen assistant, Host/Hostess, and reception cover. We are looking for an all-rounder who can contribute to the smooth running of our care home.
Responsibilities:
- Housekeeping: Maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of residents' rooms, communal areas, and other facilities. This includes regular cleaning, emptying bins, and ensuring a safe and hygienic environment for all.
- Kitchen Assistant: Supporting our kitchen team in food preparation, serving meals, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen. Duties may also involve dishwashing, clearing tables, and following food safety guidelines.
- Host/Hostess: Responsible for delivering high standards of hospitality services, dining experience expectations. The Host will ensure that all residents and visitors are greeted in a polite, friendly and professional manner. Customer service will be at the forefront whilst also ensuring enablement is supported where appropriate.
- Reception Cover: Answering incoming calls, directing callers to the appropriate department or individual, and managing inquiries at the reception desk. Maintaining accurate records and offering excellent customer service to all guests and residents.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with residents, staff, and visitors.
- A friendly and approachable demeanour, with a genuine empathy for elderly residents.
- Flexibility with working hours, including weekends and occasional evenings.
