Job Summary/Basic Functions
The Production Specialist serves the needs of the Communication and Brand Management production team, and exemplifies an overall knowledge of video production and post-production technologies and techniques necessary to produce effective, creative, and high-quality video products.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: bachelors degree required
Experience: Job requires a high level of specialized knowledge and skill of a particular branch of work and/or standard practices in a professional field. Four years of relevant hands-on experience and/or appropriate educational qualification is required.
Work experience in a higher education institution is a plus.

Proficiency in video and photo applications within Adobe Creative Suite.
Job Duties:
- 50% - Operate video production equipment (camera, audio and lighting equipment, editing software, etc.). Ensure technical requirements and parameters of assigned projects are of high quality. Ensure timely and cost-effective product delivery. - (Essential)
- 25% - Assist the Video Systems Engineer with installing, testing, and maintaining audio/video equipment over the campus-wide fiber network, including: Video Cameras Video Switchers Audio Mixing equipment Audio/Video Routing equipment Headset Communications Sync Equipment - (Essential)
- 10% - Participate and provide thoughtful interaction in team meetings and other assigned groups or committees. Investigate new and emerging technologies that can positively impact the department's mission. Provide recommendations surrounding media technologies. - (Essential)
- 10% - Maintain equipment and facilities to specifications set by the Production Manager to ensure stable operation on a daily basis - (Essential)
- 5% - Supports the office functions by completing all other duties and special projects as assigned. - (Marginal)
