Job description
Our client, a manufacturer of electrical goods is looking for 4 x full time Assembly Operative to assist at their site in Hindley Green, Wigan.
The successful candidate will be required to have good eye sight and the ability to read and follow instructions and diagrams to build Electrical parts.
Working hours:
- 36.5 hours per week.
- Monday to Thursday 07:00-15:30
- Friday 07:00 - 11.30am.
- Weekend overtime is available.
Experience within an electrical or mechanical or furniture type assembly line environment WOULD BE IDEAL.
You will also need to have had experience in stock movement, stock rotation, stock taking, re-packing and other associated tasks.
There is also opportunity for overtime and these hours will be paid at time and a half during the week and Saturdays. The role will be to carry out all aspects of Production Assembly in the factory.
Working to high quality and ensuring that the finished product passes the relevant standards.
Key tasks and Responsibilities:
- Working to engineering drawings at a work bench environment.
- Assembly of domestic electrical units and plug sockets.
- Understand project to be completed.
- Use of Manual Hand Tools and Small Mechanical Tools.
- Working towards targets to achieve rewards i.e. vouchers.
- Good hand and eye dexterity and co-ordination as some parts are quite small.
