As the Production Team Leader, you will direct and co-ordinate the production of inks and coatings within fuel cells activities across a team of semi-skilled and skilled technicians.
Your purpose will be to support the team in their roles, driving performance and measuring their success. Your success will contribute to ensuring established targets, including volume, cost and quality measures are safely met.
Your responsibilities:

Ensure both self and team adheres to JM EHS standards at all times, and that production does not override EHS requirements

Supervise employees across assigned teams to ensure the manufacture of products and to perform other tasks within established timing, quality and cost standards

Ensure equipment is in full working order, troubleshoot problems found and liaise with appropriately skilled engineers where required

Performance and people management of technicians, ensuring company policies are followed, personal development plans are supported and where necessary implement personal improvement plans

Monitors the performance and output of your assigned teams and re-assign production activities or manpower if required, to achieve set KPIs

Use knowledge of continuous improvement tools to support larger lean projects and lead smaller area specific projects
Requirements for the role:

Experience leading a team working in a production environment and making decisions in a timely manner
-
Experience supporting direct report team members through personal development plans, return to work interviews and performance improvement discussions

Previously worked in a fast-paced environment and able to achieve challenging targets

IT skills and knowledge of Microsoft Applications

Creative problem-solving skills, with demonstrable experience of driving innovation/change within existing processes

Strong communication and influencing skills with the ability to document and distribute key information to senior management
The Production Team Leader will work on a 24/7 shift pattern of 3s and 2s, with 12 hour shifts, 6am – 6pm and 6pm – 6am
