Production Setter, Rotherham

Located in Rotherham, S60.

This vacancy is for a leading company in the S60 area of Rotherham who supply sealing solutions for a variety of industries.

The duties included in the role are as follows:

• Assisting to manufacture seals.
• Using machinery to remove product from steel mandrel.
• Using computerised in house system to create labels for products, scanning of labels and booking product into stock in in house system.
• General housekeeping and clean down of equipment at shift end.

Experience needed:

• Previous manufacturing experience required.
• Computer literate.
• Understanding of measurements to set calipers.
• Heavy lifting will be involved as different mandrels increase in weight and size.

Beneficial to have any experience of the below machines:

• Large 72” CNC Vertical Borer Fanuc
• Large 48”and 72” Manual Vertical Borer
• Large manual turner up to 2m Diameter
• Large CNC turner Fanuc Controlled up to 1.2m diameter
• Small Proturn work

The following experience, would be advantageous:

• CNC Trained/experience
• Fanuc programming or editing experience
• Large turning experience
• Manual machinist
• Able to read and understand complex working drawings
• Using and understanding measuring equipment. Verniers etc.

The pay rate is £14.64 to £17.22, depending on relevant experience.

The hours of work are:

• Shift A – Week 1 – Monday – Friday 6am – 2pm; Week 2 – Monday to Thursday 2pm – 11pm.
• Shift B – Week 1 – Monday Thursday 6am – 2pm, Friday 6am – 12pm; Week 2 Monday – Wednesday 2pm – 12am, Thursday 2pm – 10pm.
• These are rotating, so you would have to be flexible for both days and afters.
