Job description
Reporting directly to the Packing Supervisor, the successful candidate will be tasked with setting up and running of a variety of machines, in an ISO class 8 environment as well as visual inspecting the product when required. As part of the probationary period, it is required to pass a validation assessment in order to carry out inspection of finished product. Re-validation is required on an annual basis to demonstrate on-going competency, in accordance with ISO 13485.
Key Aspects of the role:
· Visual inspection of all finished products in glass syringes to ensure superior quality
· Set up, changeover and running of packing assembly, blister and carton machines in an ISO Class 8 environment
· Basic fault identification to resolve set up issues/machine errors, ensuring the smooth running of the packaging equipment
· Provide cover for the Packaging Area Leader during periods of absence which will include; organising workload and batch documentation, stock management and SAGE system control.
· Monitor critical packaging process parameters and act on deviations within the area to ensure quality and efficient production
· GDP compliant completion of all QMS documentation including: NCR’s, batch records and all other paperwork relevant to manufacturing
· Participate in root cause investigations, projects and department improvements
· Support the Packing Area Leader to drive an accountable and positive culture by ensuring compliance to SOP’s, Safety, Hygiene, Environmental & Quality procedures
· Take ownership to ensure all housekeeping duties are completed.
You must have:
· Experience of working within an ISO Class 8 or similar environment with an understanding of GMP/GDP requirements
· The ability to work as part of an effective and efficient team
· Excellent attention to detail, with strong written and verbal communication skills
· The ability to think logically and solve problems
· Strong time management skills and ability to work under own initiative
· Experience of working in a high-volume manufacturing business
· The capacity to carry and lift medium size packages
· IT skills including Excel and Word.
