Greencroft Bottling is one of the largest contract filling companies in the UK. We are now embarking on ambitious plans to develop a purpose-built 200,000 ft2 (18,580m2) bottling facility at our main site in County Durham. When completed Greencroft Two will be the most modern and environmentally sustainable wine bottling facility in the world, housing new filling lines - including canning and sparkling - and increasing capacity to 400 million litres per year
Currently we are capable of filling up to 90,000 bottles and boxes of wine per hour - the equivalent of up to 200 million litres per year. Working with some of the world's leading wine companies, we pride ourselves on our outstanding quality and attention to detail with a dedicated Quality Assurance team and, as such, are BRC Grade AA+ rated
Our high test production lines enable us to pack a range of products in a variety of formats, including 187ml glass and PET, 37.5cl, 50cl, 70cl, 75cl, 1l and 1.5l. We can aso fill 2.25 litre, 3 litre and 18 litre bag-in-box and both keg and pouches. We have installed the UK's first wine canning line capable of filling still and sparking wine and RTDs in 187ml, 200ml and 250ml slim line can formats
Job Purpose:
To ensure all activities are performed in a manner which complies with H&S, Quality, GMP, product safety and legality
Key Responsibilities:
· Set up and run plant in accordance with SOP’s and customer specifications.
· Take appropriate action to resolve problems, including stopping the line when necessary in order to request assistance from supervision or quality department.
· To monitor quality of materials transferred to production line, to complete production and downtime records as required for production efficiency and traceability.
· Continually ensure that customer specification is adhered to and appropriate quality standards are maintained.
· Ensure that all work areas are kept clean, tidy and free from damaged goods.
· Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained in all work areas.
· Carry out quality and production checks as stipulated in customer specification or as advised by the QA Department.
· To assist Line Leaders, Supervisors and Shift Managers to achieve business objectives.
· Other general production and cleaning duties (i.e. disgorging, cleaning, etc.).
· Update and maintain all QA and production records as required

Safety:
· Ensure all duties are carried out in accordance with current H&S, environmental and food safety legislation and procedures.
· Use all PPE and equipment as instructed.
· Maintain a safe working environment at all times.
Report any serious malfunctions or risks to a responsible person
Person:
You must have worked in a similar role before in a fast paced manufacturing environment
You must have a counterbalance fork lift truck licence (certificates will be required)
