Position: Production Operator

Responsible to: Team Leader
KnitMesh Technologies is the acclaimed technical leader in the design, development and production of knitted wire mesh solutions. We require full-time Production Operators to assist with the increased workload.
Main Responsibilities
- Interpreting work orders, drawings, and route cards, which indicate the type of mesh and tools to be used, the size of the finished part, and the date of shipment
- Performing core forming, autogill cutting, manual mesh rolling, press operation and spot welding processes
- Machine operation and general upkeep
- Completing orders within the timeframe specified
- Material handling and identification
- Monitoring and upholding company standards
- Mesh inspection and recording of dimensional and weight parameters
Candidate Profile
- Able to understand basic engineering drawings
- Outstanding attention to detail
- Capable of handling small parts and tools
- Some mechanical proficiency in machinery
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Willingness to learn new manufacturing techniques
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented
- Adaptable and positive team player
Although prior engineering experience is preferred, full training will be provided for the right candidates.
Salary: £10.77 - £12.39 per hour
Contract: Initial one-month contract with the possibility of a permanent position
Hours: 2 shift rota
- Shift 1: Monday to Friday, 6:00 - 14:00
- Shift 2: Monday to Friday, 14:00 - 22:00
Holidays: 21 days holiday per year (increased to 25 with service) + statutory bank holidays
Location: Coast Road, CH8 9DP
