Production Operator – Pharmaceuticals
Role: Permanent & 12-month Fixed Term contract available
Location: Barnstaple, Devon
Salary: Circa £27k (including shift allowance) + benefits
Shifts available: Double Day shift
Working Hours:
Double Day Shift: Week 1: Mon – Thu: 06:00 – 14:00, Fri: 06:00 – 12:00
Double Day Shift: Week 2: Mon – Thu: 14:00 – 22:00, Fri: 12:00 – 18:00
The Role:
We’re seeking motivated and proactive Production Operators to support the production of our generic and branded medicines, in order to deliver high quality and consistent end products which meet our strict Quality Control (QC), Good Manufacturing Process (GMP) and Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) standards. Following written and verbal operating procedures precisely, you’ll complete all related documentation accurately to sign-off every stage of your work. With a good level of technical competency, you’ll clean down, maintain and prepare your own work area and equipment (including basic machine setting and fault finding) and replenish supplies to ensure the smooth running of all operations. With a strong safety focus, you’ll complete weekly safety checks to support the attainment of our EHS targets and report any defects, process deviations or issues immediately. Taking pride in your work, you’ll participate in our Continuous Improvement and team briefing programmes to ensure we’re always working safely, effectively and innovatively and pushing the standards of our work.
The Person:
· With strong communication skills in written and spoken English, you’re equally comfortable working on your own initiative or in a collaborative team setting.
· Valuing safety along with efficiency, you’re used to proactively reporting and solving problems within the parameters of Company procedures.
· Experienced in the proper use of protective clothing, manufacturing equipment and observing GMP and EHS policies.
· Known for being reliable, you approach work in a calm and methodical manner and have a keen eye for detail.
· You’re used to working with technical and numerical information, and have good basic math and IT skills, ideally holding a GCSE level qualification in Maths and English.
· You’ll possess a natural aptitude for basic mechanical engineering and ideally have previous hands-on experience in a GMP related work setting.
· You’re a team player, accepting of constructive feedback and always open to learning.
· From a practical perspective, you have a good level of general health and are comfortable to work in an enclosed, indoor environment.
