An exciting opportunity for a number of Production Operatives within our Manufacturing and Packaging process, to join our team on the late shift (4pm till 12.30am). Working within a fast-paced environment completing various manual tasks to ensure the smooth transition of operations and to meet production targets.
Activities will include:
- Participate in all aspects of manufacturing/packaging process operations.
- Weighing, packing and labelling of finished goods ready for dispatch.
- Carrying out a variety of physical Manual Handling tasks as instructed, lifting equipment and products from 5kg up to 20kg.
- Ensuring excellent manufacturing practice through maintaining a Safe, Healthy and Hygienic work place.
- Taking responsibility for the area that you work in and the plant in general, this includes good housekeeping.
- Ensure product quality.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Must have fluent spoken and written skills in English.
- Excellent communications skills.
- Computer literate (desired).
- Ability to work well within a team environment.
- Ability to work accurately and methodically.
- Self-motivated and uses initiative.
- Flexible approach to duties and tasks.
- Responsible for complying with food safety, food security, quality, HACCAP, Allergen Regulations.
- Responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of the product run on the lines based on specifications.
- Ability to adhere to the strictest levels of hygiene and cleanliness and to perform all Health, Safety Rules and Regulations (Good Manufacturing Practices).
Essential Criteria:
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data recording.
- Ability to follow written instructions.
- Willingness to be flexible to meet the demands of the job.
- Effective team working.
- Willingness to learn and work to Standard Operating Procedure's (SOP's) as you become part of a highly specialised team.
Other benefits:
- 37.5hr working week, with two 15 minute and one 1/2 hour paid breaks.
- Salary paid weekly equates to: £23,660 - £25,740 per annum, plus £35 per week shift allowance
