Marlin is an equal opportunities employer with an exciting opportunity for hard working people to join our team in Aberdare, South Wales. We offer a unique and comprehensive range of packaging products and services to the cable industry.
Joining us on a full time, permanent basis, you will be required to work 12hr shifts on a 4 on 4 off pattern 6am – 6pm once fully trained. During the initial training period however you will be working Monday to Thursday 6am - 3pm & 6am - 2pm Friday.
As well as maintaining a tidy work area and good housekeeping standards throughout the shift, main duties include:
New drum assembly – manual handling of timber flanges and assembling wooden cable drums in production line environment.
Drum repair – using hand held power tools and wood working equipment to repair and refurbish wooden cable drums
Coiling of cable on hand winding machinery, manual handling of armoured cable and cutting coiling of components to keep up with demand on production assemble line
Applicants must be hard working with a high degree of self-motivation, have the ability to work to deadlines and under pressure and have a good awareness of safety requirements associated with a busy yard environment. Full training is provided.
Offer of employment is subject to passing a drug and alcohol test at induction.
