Job description
The successful candidate will support the production of best quality finished product whilst working within the Müller values and standards and striving to continuously improve. You will be a multi-skilled operator who can run a variety of dairy equipment and who are trained to provide a basic level of asset care.
- Use their acquired machine knowledge and diagnostics to operate machinery to optimum levels, delivering the required output.
- Optimise line output via the set-up of machines and review of line performance data
- Quality control inspection, assuring customer expectation are maintained
- Materials replenishment as required
- First line maintenance checks as required
- Problem solving capability
- Executes maintenance / asset care
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions, Risk assessments and PMS.
- Consistent quality control inspection and awareness, assuring customer expectations and product standards are maintained in accordance with CCP’s.
- Maintain hygiene and environmental standards – Clean as you go.
- Operate equipment and processes effectively, including asset care, maximising output, adherence to plan, waste reduction and cost savings.
- Replenish materials as required.
- Support the development of SOP’s and W.I’s.
- Performing accredited chemical testing where applicable.
- Completion of operational documentation.
- Deliver and support the training of colleagues on job related tasks.
- Effectively communicate to individuals within and outside of department.
- Undertake any other duties; in keeping with the nature of the role as requested.
- Duties may involve, but not limited to the operation of production, process equipment and movement and control of materials and product.

- Ability to work under own initiative in a high speed environment.
- Resilience in the face of technical issues.
- Good mechanical aptitude.
- Relevant food manufacturing qualification is desirable.
- Basic Food Hygiene.
