Job description
We are hiring a Production operative to join our growing upholstery team in F2 Goban Street, Portadown. The post holder will be responsible for working across all aspects of production operations, ensuring that deadlines are met, whilst ensuring products are built to appropriate quality standards, right first time.
Responsibilities
- Ensure Health & Safety standards are adhered to at all times
- Maintain a safe, organised and efficient work area
- Ensure efficient production flow and make suggestions as to how work flow could be improved
- Escalate issues to line management as required
- Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with
quality and safety regulations.

Requirements
Essential
- Experience in a production environment
- Pass in Maths and English GCSE or equivalent
- Ability to prioritize workload
- Excellent attention to detail, organisation and time management skills.
- Strong communication and team working skills
- High regard for Health and Safety
- Use of variety of hand tools
Desirable
- Good IT skills with working knowledge of MRP
- Metal work experience
- Upholstery experience
- Sewing machine experience
- Time served in aerospace industry
- Metal work experience
- Experience with working and producing templates
The position is day shift, hours of work will be 6.30am to 2.45pm M-F, 40 hours per week.
