PRODUCTION OPERATIVES (Food Manufacturing)**IMMEDIATE STARTS**· As an operative you will be producing ready to cook meals, kebabs and BBQ products for high end retailers.· You’ll be working on the production lines to make large batches of products which will then be sold and distributed to our extensive customer base.What might I be doing?There are lots of different product we produce here on site, what you’ll be doing could vary, but is likely to include some or all of the following:Preparing and skewering kebab/BBQ – goal 3 kebabs per minuteAccurately weighing out raw materialsUsing modern machinery and technology throughout the processEnsuring packs meet the product specificationComplying with health and safety standards on siteWorking on different areas of production including final packEnsuring base labels are correctly aligned on packsPacking productsReworking products when necessary you’ll need to be able to read and understand instructions and also have a decent level of arithmetic so you can calculate weights and measures, raw materials.We have the following shifts:3 on 3 off 6am - 6pmWhat about the pay?£10.52 per hour after that there are numerous courses that you can take which will enable you to excel at your work – for instance, HACCP, Food safety Level 3 – these short courses provide an ideal starting point to enhance your qualifications and skills levels.About Us:Bernard Matthews Derby Ltd proudly employ more than 1100 colleagues just at the Derby site alone, drawn from a range of nationalities to help to make a mind-boggling array of some of the finest food in Britain – specialising in poultry.Job Type: Full-timeSalary: £10.52 per hourBenefits:Free parkingOn-site parkingSchedule:12 hour shiftWork Location: In person
