Purpose of the role
As a Production Operative in our Butchery department you will help to prepare products for sale in restaurants and supermarkets across the UK. Full training will be given within a 36 week programme to help gain the skills needed to be able to produce different cuts of meat to the right standards.
Key responsibilities include:
• Training to use a knife to butcher, de-bone or portion cuts of meat.
• Achieving agreed quality standards relating to temperature, grading, wrapping and presentation.
• Minimising downtime of equipment through proper set-up and line change overs.
• Weighing and packing products ready for despatch.
• Manual handling, lifting equipment and products up to 20kg.
• Adhering to health and safety riles at all times.
• Completing tasks in-line with food safety and hygiene rules.
Working Hours:
Tuesday - Saturday, 06:00 - 15:00
