Your Role...
The Production Operations Resource Manager is responsible for the allocation of resources required to support the in-house production facilities based across two West London sites servicing our many production partners.
As the principal contact for resource and the crew booking teams you will be a key link in the smooth delivery of multiple live productions delivered across Europe each day whilst ensuring all productions are delivered to the highest standards.
This role will oversee the management and development of the crew and resources booking teams ensuring the clients needs are met, whilst delivering the most effective and efficient use of resources to support the business requirements.
Your Accountabilities...
Manage and develop team of people – 6+
Manage a Crew booking team dealing with 600 + freelancers
Manage resources at two Production facilities sites + local OB
Deliver data reports on business performance and costings for both production and operations
Create strategy, lead projects with focus on successful delivery
Oversee and govern the allocation of resources, ensuring the services provided by the Crewing and resources teams are delivered to the highest standard.
Support Engineering and Technical Supervisors to find alternative solutions where resources aren't available or enhancements and upgrades are required.
Promoting innovation and cost-effective technical solutions to support production requirements.
Establish regular communication and strong working relationships with key clients within the business with a focus on future strategy
Work collaboratively with other GT&O organisations i.e. MAM, Ingest, Engineering, MCR, Production, Bookings and Transmission ensuring working relationships are maintained and communication is clear and effective.
Identify key development opportunities for improved workflows, system development and enhanced reporting.
Develop in-house talent through the provision of comprehensive training
Actively manage POs, invoices and track additional costs
Provide support to the line manager in operational and strategic decision making
Identify savings opportunities; promote sharing of best practice and process change opportunities to increase efficiency

Qualifications...
Previous experience within a similar role of managing a scheduling, booking and resources teams
Significant experience within a broadcast Studio facility and crew bookings.
Proven track record in managing large, successful teams, delivering to the highest standards
Experience of working with Xytech, Provys, or a similar scheduling system
A strong communicator who can influence others.
Ability to deliver key information in a timely and accurate manner to a range of stakeholders at all levels
Understanding of technical planning, comfortable with the detail of technical specifications and production requirements both within a facility and for On Site productions
Proactive in trouble-shooting, problem solving and avoidance of issues
Adaptable and flexible in a challenging, demanding and fast-paced environment
Excellent communication skills and ability to represent Production Operations at a high level in meetings
Ability to prioritise and work autonomously under pressure and to tight deadlines
Strong team player and solid interpersonal skills
Experience of budgeting is essential
