Job description

We are currently looking to recruit a production operative on a temporary to permanent basis for our well established manufacturing client based in Halifax. This role involves handling and mixing powders and chemicals, therefore experience in this industry will be highly advantageous.

THE ROLE:

• Following Method or Manufacture / Recipe.
• Adding Powders and Liquids to mixing vessels.
• Charging and Discharging Vessels.
• Checking, Maintaining and cleaning pumps.
• Following written procedures.
• Completing paperwork accurately.
• Quality Checking.
• Adhering to health and safety.

THE CANDIDATE:

• Must have good Math and English skills
• Experience in chemical manufacturing is advantageous but not essential
• A solid production/manufacturing background is essential
• Applicant must have good timekeeping and attendance
• Ability to follow procedures and written instruction.

THE SALARY AND BENEFITS:

• £10.80 per hour (rising to 11.50 once permanent)
• Temporary to permanent (3 months on agency)
• 7:00 - 15:00 Monday to Friday
