In the UK, Safran Seats specialises solely in the First Class and Business Class seating markets for wide body aircraft, with industrial and engineering teams in Cwmbran and Newport, Wales and Brackley, England.
At Safran Seats we are now recruiting for multiple Production Managers across different business areas within the organisation. Within this role, you will be expected to effectively manage the manufacturing team on a daily, weekly & monthly basis to deliver products to an agreed schedule and within defined costs.
Key Responsibilities & Duties;
- Plan resource to meet production output
- Co-ordinate production loading plans with cross-sectional managers
- Identify and address training needs to maintain quality output in accordance with the Quality Procedures
- Promote a Lean environment.
- Contribute to the strategic development of the Company
- Accurately report on KPI's
- Monitor and report on budgets and targets
- Implement working practices to reduce health and safety risks to as low as is reasonably practicable
- To become the lead, mentor and developer within the team.

Job requirements
Sound knowledge of lean and problem solving tools
Previous experience of leading a team within a high density business
Demonstrable experience of driving a culture of lean and continuous improvement
Familiar user of Microsoft packages
Excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to analyse information
High attention to detail
Able to build strong working relationships
Displays energy and enthusiasm in improvement ways of working
Respectful of other colleagues in carrying out duties
Root cause analysis, Corrective actions, 4D, 8D problem solving.
