This is a great opportunity for a Production Manager to join a business that operates and works with some of the UK and Brazil’s most prominent social media sports brands and personalities. They have an audience of over 5,000,000 passionate sports fans across a range of social platforms and websites.

This is an organisation that has seen continuous growth every year since 2014, with no plan on slowing down, especially in 2023. It’s a great opportunity to join an established team of marketing professionals, SEO specialists, developers, social media experts, product managers and designers, to drive numerous content strategies across several high-traffic websites with untapped potential, ranging from the UK to Brazil.


The Role:

The Production Manager will work alongside the Social Media Lead to manage their high-performing social media and web content team of circa 12 that work on multiple brands in the sports space.

In this newly created role, the Production Manager will help manage the performance of social media teams and will play a role in ensuring the brands are operating at the highest levels of influence.

Responsibilities:

  • Leading employee engagement tactics, including stand-ups, 1:1s, and debriefs, to ensure team members are happy, developing, and on track to hit individual and brand objectives.
  • Collaborating with the Head of Web Content and Social Media Manager to ensure alignment between social content and other digital channels such as email and website.
  • Managing project timelines and milestones, ensuring they are planned, communicated, and progress is checked on an ongoing basis to deliver on time and within budget.
  • Implementing internal measurement plans where necessary and reporting on social and commercial performance by identifying trends and opportunities for growth on a brand-by-brand basis.
  • Proactively seeking out improvement opportunities within the teams, including assisting with managing tech updates that streamline processes and create efficiencies.
  • Effectively managing team resources alongside Social Media Managers by planning rota management and holiday requests.
  • Leading internal hiring efforts within the social team with input from Directors and Social Media Manager. This includes identifying hiring needs, forward planning team resource, liaising with recruiters, and systemising and improving the onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Supporting internal stakeholders managing their relationship with marketing partners as well as any third-party vendors or resources where applicable.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a similar role eg Production Manager, Project Management or Operation Manager.
  • Experience in line management, preferably within an organisation that intrinsically understands the importance and effectiveness of creative and social media.
  • Excellent facilitation skills: able to guide teams to make the right decisions, prioritise effectively and understand associated risks.
  • Experience working with a high volume of fast-moving projects, shifting timelines and implementing reactive processes to fix issues.
  • Resource management: understanding how to best utilise people’s time and resource to grow an effective team to drive maximum value
  • Confident in dealing well with conflicting priorities, managing processes and multiple stakeholder requirements.
  • A sports fan with an interest, or willingness to learn about, in sports betting.
