The Job

We are looking for a responsible, cooperative, and driven team leader to organise our production kitchen, and deliver a high-quality, consistent product.

Key tasks of the Production Manager:

  • Lead the production team to meet daily production plans.
  • Oversee the team of production operatives in daily activities.
  • Produce the production plan.
  • Manage agreed staff levels to achieve production plans.
  • Assist with equipment maintenance
  • Assist with the recruitment process including interviews, inductions, and training for new starters.
  • Assist with HR related issues as needed (disciplinary, grievance handling as well as absence management).
  • Ensure adherence to company policies relating to Health and Safety when reporting accidents or near miss incidents and have a general awareness for H&S in the workplace.
  • Ensuring best in class hygiene and food safety standards are achieved and our HACCP system is implemented flawlessly.

About you

  • Experience in production supervision within a food manufacturing environment, preferably chilled/frozen prepared foods.
  • Experience with production machinery – maintenance, repair (training will be provided)
  • Excellent planning, organisation and communication skills are essential plus a responsible, committed, and positive approach.
  • Food manufacturing related qualifications, Food Safety and HACCP Level 4 preferred.
  • And above all, a reliable person of good character.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £38,000.00-£42,000.00 per year
