Home Design HQ is a Kitchen and Bedroom showroom based in Sheffield.
The company is a bespoke cabinet manufacturer that specialize in high-end kitchens and bedrooms, we are looking for a CNC Machine operator, Kitchen cabinet Maker or someone with relevant experience who is looking to step into a supervisory position within a production role. The role is for a hands on joiner who will be generally based at our workshop in Sheffield, running and working within the production team on the manufacture of kitchens and other furniture items.
It is essential that the suitable candidate has joinery experience in the manufacture of kitchens and would suit someone looking to use their knowledge and skill base to lead and be part of a growing team.
Our kitchens are high end, bespoke kitchens and our brand values are very important so the right candidate must be happy to work to meticulous standards and deliver a product and service that is quality and client led.
At least 3 years experience in a joinery workshop is essential and previous experience with high end brands would be a plus.
The successful candidate will be required to;
- Work with all areas of production as well as office based project management and designers to ensure seamless end to end job progression
- Organise the various areas of production including machine shop, spray shop and assembly, managing operatives workload
- Following and enforcing Health and safety in all areas of production, including risk assessments, fire safety etc
- Work with directors to improve production facilities and processes
- Quality control all areas of production
- Complete new operative induction training, and refresher training for all operatives
- Produce cutting lists and review working drawings
- Schedule and maintain good housekeeping throughout the production facilities
- Scheduling and overseeing maintenance programs for all the machines and tools
The ideal candidate will possess the following;
- Time served, highly skilled bench joiner with prior experience in management
- Confident can-do attitude, with good people skills
- Health and safety conscious, with a general awareness of requirements- training will be provided.
- Pro-active and organised
- Able to complete cutting lists. CAD skills would be beneficial, but not required
- Excellent people management skills, with the ability to build a strong team
- Ability to do overtime when required
Salary Negotiable depending on experience.
