Job Description
-We are seeking a Production Manager to be based at our Ascot site, responsible for the delivery of safe, high-quality, volume manufacturing of our products in Pre-Synthesis, Synthesis and Acid Dissolution.
The role holder will have demonstrated technical knowledge and continuous improvement skills, assisting with the capacity and capability modelling process across their areas of production. The job will include planning, co-ordination and materials control across 24/7 shifts that form part of the production supply chain.
The Production Manager will oversee Synthesis Shift Team Leaders with wider responsibility for all Team Members and so a proven track record in dynamic resource management is essential.
Duties & Tasks
- Ensure Safety First at all times in line with the zero harm goal
- Ensure all quality processes and procedures are adhered to ensuring a Right First Time approach to quality
- Ensure the Pre-Synthesis and Synthesis teams comply with and develop procedures spanning Health & Safety, Quality, Environment and Sustainability.
- Manage and oversee delivery of production activities through visible presence on the ‘shop-floor’
- Leading and multiskilling of the teams to improve processes and equipment utilisation.
- Implement initiatives to improve yield, quality, safety. efficiency, utilisation, and on-time delivery in full.
- Responsible for resource & production planning and objective setting and performance reviews with direct reports
- Create, update and delegate writing Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions and SWC’s for processes.
- Work closely with key stakeholders; Safety, NPI, Process Development, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain & Engineering Services teams to implement & embed efficiency gains.
- Driving the adoption and development of digitalisation within the department
- Ensure communication across shifts, managing stakeholders both upwards and downward through whiteboard, operational and PMO meetings.

- Proficiency in MS Office and IT suites including ERP (JDE), MES Systems.
