Position Summary
This position is responsible for safely leading the Bottling Department at the Walkerville site. The role will drive performance on a day to day and strategic level to ensure budgetary and roadmap targets are achieved. This leader is expected to manage flow (people, information, materials), lead and coach others and continuously improve the processes. A strong technical background and understanding of concepts such as continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, and quality disciplines to effectively manage the ongoing operations.
Key Responsibilities
OHSA - Ensure compliance of Occupational Health & Safety Act (section 25, 26, 27, and 28) per Hiram Walker & Son’s Ltd Policy- Management-Supervision-Worker Safety Responsibilities.
Establish direction and build high performance team by assigning clear accountability
Ensure the bottling team meets safety, quality, delivery, performance and continuous improvement objectives
Drive overall performance and meeting line production requirements daily, weekly monthly and annually.
Administer all aspects of performance management for supervisors and oversee the completion of the performance review process and provide ongoing coaching and feedback
Cascade department goals and objectives to both salary and hourly teams
Utilize daily reporting/tracking of results to detect and root cause abnormalities in the process
Motivate, develop and retain great people
ISO requirements/Member of food safety team, responsible for the development, implementation, and ongoing management of food safety systems specific to department which includes, but not limited to the organization’s products, processes, equipment and food safety hazards within the ISO 22000 scope
Direct supervision of Production Supervisors at the Walkerville Site
Responsible to ensure the fiscal adherence to budgets and approve expenditures ensuring that materials, labour and equipment are used safely and efficiently to meet production requirements
