It's an exciting time to be part of BBC Audio Bristol The department is part of the broader BBC Audio Wales and West hub, and is at the centre of the radio’s Across the UK changes.

The department makes content for Radios 3, 4, the World Service and BBC Sounds – across of a variety of genres – arts, rural affairs, factual, documentaries, drama and entertainment podcasts. Some of our key titles include Any Questions, Farming Today, Word of Mouth, Costing The Earth, The Food programme

We also produce the annual BBC Food and Farming Awards.

Main Responsibilities

You’ll be supporting the Unit Manager in keeping an administrative and organisational eye on a busy production department and making sure that all our programme makers have the right resources to make their programmes at the right time.

Day to day tasks would include studio & workshop bookings, managing IT and phone assets, car parking and locker allocation as well as helping with desk allocation, daily statistics, staff rotas, databases and IT requests.

You’ll also be assisting the production coordinators with travel and accommodation bookings as well as production paperwork and music reporting in Proteus (this is a Radio specific system which is used for all aspects of programme paperwork), liaising with Facilities Management, ordering office supplies, allocating production equipment and being the first port of call for any questions the team members may have.

Location: Office base is BBC Bristol. This is a hybrid role and the successful candidate will balance office with home working.
