Main Purpose:
- To be a member of the production team. reporting to the Shift Manager
- Making sure personnel management of Line Operatives
- To ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
Main Responsibilities:
Quality critical responsibilities.
- Inspection and test of packed product checking product appearance, closure torque, fill weight, seal integrity, boxing and palleting quality with completion of production paperwork ensuring records are complete, accurate, legible and traceable to the product.
- Supervising Line Operatives ensuring they are aware of their duties and communicating any specific product and reject any unacceptable components.
- Familiarisation with the corrective action procedure, assisting in the completion of corrective actions, and in the event of product non-conformity, stopping the production line and communicating any concerns to Management.
- Ensuring components are adequately covered during line down times.
- Detection and communication of non-conformance: of deviation from specified product requirement or contravention of the quality system
- Assist line setters
Product packing
- To work with the Packing Line Operatives on the packing line as necessary.
- Report production breakdowns to the Shift Senior
- Ensure that the components are adequately sealed and returned to stock, and stock rotated. Also to ensure that the line area floor is kept clean and tidy.
- To maintain the Label Storage area and make sure that it is kept clean and tidy.
- To fetch the components for the next run as detailed by the Production Supervisors
- Cleaning schedules to be completed
Safety
- To adhere to SHEQ (Safety,Health,Environment,Quality) standards
- To help ensure that the Packing Line Operatives swap positions on the packing lines at 30 minutes intervals.
- Ensure that the PPE necessary for each activity to be carried out is worn at all times.
- To understand the Health and Safety risks associated with each product as indicated on the product status sheet and product rear labels.
- Safe operation of packing line equipment
4. Metrics
- Ensure Metrics, Safety, Quality, Delivery, 5s, FOD, Kaizen trackers are up to date (updated daily)
- Local 5s and TPM checks are carried out by required operator.
- Hand over between shifts is clear and up to date
Candidates should have proven experience in a similar role and FMCG environment
Shift Patterns
Days - 2 week rotation 36.75 hours per week
Shift A:
Wk 1 - Mon - Wed - 05.45am - 18.00pm
Wk 2 - Sunday - Tuesday 05.45am - 18.00pm
Shift B
Wk 1 - Thurs - Sat 05.45am - 18.00pm
Wk 2 - Wed - Fri 05.45am - 18.00pm
Pay rate: £11.07 - £12.38 (after successful probation)
Nights Set Shifts - 36.75 hours per week
C shift: Sun - Tues 17.45pm - 06.00am
D shift: Wed - Fri 17.45pm - 06.00am
Pay rate: £12.51 - £14.08 (after successful probabtionary)
