As a Production Leader, you will coordinate all aspects of manufacturing activity within your area of responsibility. You will have full accountability for ensuring that agreed customer quality, cost, delivery and responsiveness requirements are met throughout the product life cycle.

You will continue the drive towards a performance and culture of Zero Harm. Ensuring our teams are trained and compliant to safety standards, driving environmental targets and promoting wellbeing. Whilst also working towards Zero Defects with all functions to reduce risks and drive product and service right first time.

What you’ll be doing
You will work collaboratively across a wide range of functions and be responsible for integrating their activities to deliver on time every time to the right quality and cost. You will also:

  • Recruit, Guide and Inspire our teams to deliver excellence through brilliant 2-way communication, coaching and performance management so that teams can achieve their full potential.
  • Deliver the customer requirement through robust production load and capacity planning to meet budget and ensure availability of resources to meet customer schedules now and in the future.
  • Ensure that all work is carried out in compliance with the required standard to ensure conformance to the engineering specification, and for promoting a product safety culture in the organisation.
  • Ensuring our people go home safely every day by driving compliance to our health and safety standards as well as assessing and pre-emptively addressing risk.
  • Embracing Lean leadership behaviours to drive day-to day improvement activity like 5S and longer-term lean projects to enable continuous improvement in performance and the way we operate.

Who we are looking for
At Rolls-Royce we embrace agility, are bold, pursue collaboration and seek simplicity in everything we do. These principles form our values and behaviours and are an essential component of our assessment process and are fundamental qualities that we seek for all roles.

  • Ideally, you have led teams in a manufacturing environment.
  • Attended higher education programs or participated in development programs focused on personal and professional growth.
  • You possess previous experience in spearheading transformational projects and are knowledgeable in continuous improvement methodologies such as six sigma and lean.
  • A demonstrated success in delivering improved manufacturing performance in both favourable and unfavourable conditions, utilizing cross-functional teams.
  • Experience of guiding people change within a manufacturing environment, demonstrating ability to respond at pace, to changing demands through robust planning and control methodology.

We are an equal opportunities employer. We’re committed to developing a diverse workforce and an inclusive working environment. We believe that people from different backgrounds and cultures give us different perspectives. And the more perspectives we have, the more successful we’ll be. By building a culture of respect and appreciation, we give everyone who works here the opportunity to realise their full potential.
