Job description
- Provides day-to-day support of operating unit.
- Develops and communicates the Daily Operations plan.
- Assure unit is operating at best possible performance. (HS&E, Quality, Cost, etc.)
- Works with Supply Planning to optimize the production schedule.
- Provide inputs to Supply Planning on unit requirements and capabilities.
- Owns the Asset Improvement Work Process.
- Manages process for prioritizing and completing improvement activities within the operating unit, which can be completed by operations or unit support personnel or directs to correct group outside of operating unit for completion.
- Provides facilitative leadership to operators in problem resolution using RCA and statistical tools.
- Develop technical skills and troubleshooting skills in the unit’s operators.
- Support facility needs during safety or environmental related emergency events.
- Works with Quality Assurance to grade and release product and respond to customer cases.
- 4+ years of engineering experience.
- Supervisory training and project Mgmt. experience.
- Required technical skills include a working knowledge of feed preparation, polymerization, solvent removal, polymer drying, packaging, structured problem solving and MS Office Suite (Excel and Word).
- Other skills include planning, presentation, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Successful candidates will be detail-oriented, able to work independently with a minimum of supervision, and possess excellent organizational skills.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering
