POSITION SUMMARY:
The primary role of Engineer I, Production is to drive development and continuous improvement in the Operations group. This person develops improvements focused on enhancing quality, improving reliability, and lowering total costs. Skill sets are dependent on the area being supported; e.g. Circuit Board Assembly support will require knowledge of electronics and test systems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and implement technologies, methods, and techniques to improve safety, quality and productivity.
Specifies and selects equipment.
Provides direction for development, maintenance, and procedures.
Coordinates the implementation of changes.
Designs jigs, guards, and fixtures to aid associates.
Provides consultation to other teams.
Resolves problems.
Provides training to associates.
Actively maintains knowledge of new technologies, methods and techniques.
Leads Kaizen events and sustain results
OTHER NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

QUALIFICATIONS:
B.S. or equivalent in related Engineering or Technology degree; or equivalent work experience.
1 – 3 years’ experience in related manufacturing process environment preferred.
Presentation skills.
Mechanical aptitude.
Ability to communicate with widely varied audiences
Proficient computer skills (e.g., spreadsheets)

PRE-EMPLOYMENT TESTING
External hiring into this position is contingent upon the successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen and background check and possible credit history review.
The hourly rate or salary range for this role is $60,000-$70,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Colorado. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus pay.
