Role Summary

The production coordinator is the primary person in charge of scheduling and coordinating the processing of data over all the shows. They are the first point of contact when booking a shoot or when the processing of Lidar, Photogrammetry or Textures is needed. Among other things their role is to allocate tasks to the shoot department artists and make sure their time is well managed. They manage the e-mail aliases for the department and deal with requests to send artists out on set for scanning or other data wrangling tasks. They are responsible for reporting back to the Shoot HOD and DMP delivery schedules.

Responsibilities
  • Liaising and collaborating with show production, the Shoot HOD or Shoot Producer in order to allocate work equally between the artists and to assure the timely delivery of data.
  • Communicating with Artists daily and making sure they are each applying their time correctly, according to the given list of priorities.
  • Administrative tasks relating to sending artists out on location (Per Diems, communicating with shows about travels, logistics, cost reporting, OT tracking and general sanity checks, etc).
  • Maintaining the Out Of Office Shoot Calendar and the Shoot Department Crewing Calendar.
  • Having visibility of the output of the department to help maintain quality standards with a view to continually raising the quality of output.
  • Adhering to consistent department workflows and processes and staying current with show pipelines.
  • Maintaining a good knowledge of Shoot Department processing techniques.
  • Maintaining department Production documentation.
