TalkTV broadcasts 24/7 on Sky Channel 526, Virgin Media Channel 627, Freeview Channel 237 and Freesat Channel 217, as well as via connected TV services, smart devices, the TalkTV app and at talk.tv.


Your Role: You will work closely with the production team to ensure smooth running of all News UK output.


Day to day:

  • Working closely with the Production Manager to look after primetime new programming and overseeing their launch

  • Assisting with studio build and set-up where required

  • Looking after new starters and ensuring they have been set up with the required equipment / logins & licenses / passes

  • Working alongside the editorial team to ensure the daily requirements for shows are met. Assisting with talent bookings, required props / sets, planning meetings / travel / hospitality

  • Overseeing the junior production team to ensure they are completing their necessary duties & assigning tasks as required

  • Produce and send daily call sheets/studio schedules

  • Managing production paperwork including POs / Release Forms / Location Agreements / Risk Assessments / Invoices & Payment Forms

  • Being a point of contact for studio crew on a daily basis, alongside the studio manager

  • Assisting the studio manager with crewing & studio maintenance where necessary

  • Ensure technical staffing levels are adequately forecasted to cover any holidays and sickness, and finding replacements where necessary

  • Ensure all crew and suppliers are set up on the News UK accounting system for payment

  • Coordinate invoices to Production Manager for payment & keeping track of the status

  • Arranging any location shoots as required including crew, travel, kit, risk assessments, release forms / permits

  • Ensure the company covid procedures are being complied with in all required areas

What we’re looking for from you:

  • This role would suit someone who thrives in a busy environment and who has a proactive approach to their work. Also advantageous is:

  • Understanding of working within a Production team, particularly in a live production environment

  • Highly organised

  • Excellent communicator particularly with colleagues who are working to tight deadlines

  • Passion for news and current affairs, experience working in this environment a plus
