As our Production Coordinator the primary purpose of your role is to work with our plant specialist operators and support functions to coordinate, prioritise and schedule site production activities.
You are the ‘Gatekeeper’ in the Maintenance Work Processes providing a resource with site knowledge and experience to coordinate local site activities to ensure the they create value and are scheduled in a safe and optimal manner.
As part of the on-going investment programme on site in Wyke, Bradford the role of Production Coordinator is a new position reporting to the Manufacturing Department and will be key in achieving production plan adherence.
What will you be doing?
Ensure service requests are value adding and align with the business, function, and plant' plan and team goals.
Confirm requests are clearly defined, scheduled, and completed plus reviewing work status with service providers and originators.
Key to the success of the role will be in providing an operational bias to the preparation and scheduling of the maintenance work streams in identifying key priorities whilst minimising production impact
Determine adequacy of operating procedures and plans for new service requests.
Route work requests originating within the plant to the appropriate work group or service provider.
Actively participate in the schedule update meetings and decide which jobs are to be included in the schedule.
Issue permits for jobs that are complex or span several days.
Identify improvements based on equipment reliability, default frequencies and criticality.
Works with Production & Maintenance team members and other expertise to coordinate Start Up / Shutdown timing and Production plan adherence.
Support plant personal in identifying root causes of plant failures and implementing robust solutions. Coach and train plant personal in best operational practices (i.e. equipment care).
What do you bring?
To be successful in this position as an Activity Coordinator, you will have proven experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in production or maintenance department.
A degree in chemical, mechanical or engineering planning would be an advantage. Though certainly not essential, experience and knowledge of what is required to work on a Chemical manufacturing site would certainly be advantageous.
