Area of responsibility
- Ensure all staff wear correct PPE including ear protection, clothing, cutting gloves and shoes.
- Ensure all team comply with the food and hygiene requirements at all times.
- Ensure team operate within the Company health and safety standards at all times and that workstations are kept clean and tidy at all times.
- Report any hazards or machine problems immediately to your Section Leader or designate and support resolution as appropriate.
Specific tasks
- Delivery of the key performance targets for your designated area.
- Ensure Good standards of General Manufacturing Practice and that the Section is audit ready at all times.
- Ensure all Technical standards are met within production area and support other areas as required.
- Train and coach team members to enable them to perform their work effectively, efficiently and safely to required standards.
- Support Departmental and Training Team with the development of training plans and attend required training.
- Assist as required with Training and Development initiatives.
- Act as a role model and lead by example demonstrating Core company values, behaviours and high performance standards at all times.
- Provide appropriate constructive feedback to improve performance to Operators on an informal basis.
- Take personal responsibility for own development and ensure knowledge and understanding of best practice and factors affecting business performance is kept up to date.
- Provide cover for other Sections and Section Leader as required.
Relevant experience
- L2 English or Equivalent
- L2 Numeracy or Equivalent
- Ability to prioritise workload effectively
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver to deadlines.
- Attention to detail and accuracy with paperwork and tasks.
- Experience of working within a factory environment.
- Knowledge and understanding of the product and machinery in the Process Department.
- Meets Skills criteria on specialist area.
- Leadership and Communication skills.
- Understanding of PDB system and P1400 yield report.
