Job description
The UK market leader in GRP planter production and supplier to professional landscapers and Designers throughout Europe has a permanent vacancy for a Factory / Production Assistant in our Scottish depot based in Loanhead. Candidates will have a ‘can-do’ attitude and the ability to contribute positively to the production process.
Duties would include preparing Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP) containers for paint spraying. This would include working with filler, sandpaper and using various hand power tools. Previous experience in preparing items for paint spraying is preferred but experience using the above materials/tools is essential.
Minimum working hours are 7.45am – 4.30pm, Monday to Thursday, 7.45 - 1.45pm (plus occasional overtime) Friday. The starting hourly rate is the national minimum wage.
You must be able to work to a tight schedule and take pride in your work as quality control is paramount.
Be eligible to work in the UK and have excellent verbal communication skills.
Have excellent vision and a good eye for detail.
Have a history of good attendance and timekeeping.
