MEAT PRODUCTION ASSISTANT
Hours: Min 35 hours per week
Wage: Minimum national wage
We are a leading catering butcher in Fife. We are suppliers to many of the most prestigious hotels and restaurants in Fife, Dundee, Perth, Edinburgh, Lothians and the Borders, and are looking to recruit a Production Assistant within our busy manufacturing premises based in Glenrothes, Fife.
Work environment
Working in a mostly cold environment. Please note there will be occasions when you will spend a little time in the freezer.

Production Assistant
Core Responsibilities
Meat Production
· Checking all products – visual quality check including packaging
· Pack & weigh fresh meat
· Use Vacuum packer
· Possibly (dependant on age) Cut streaky & back bacon
· Manufacturing meat products e.g. beef burgers, beef olives, skewers,
· Stock rotation
· Recycling
· Assisting the butcher team
· Cutting beef to size
Cleaning
· General good housekeeping – clear & clean as you go
· General/ Specialised cleaning maintenance including cleaning bacon slicer thoroughly (Dependant on age)
· Maintaining a high level of cleanliness as part of a team
· Keeping aisles clean and accessible in chill and on main floor
Hours of Work
You will be working the following:
Monday – Fri 5.00am – 1.00pm
Min 35 hours per week plus attendance bonus for successful applicant. Work based pension scheme and meets national minimum wage.
Location
Unit 8 Fife Food Centre, Faraday Road, Southfield Industrial Estate, Glenrothes, Fife, Scotland KY6 2RU.
Own transport is essential due to our location.
Driving licence essential.
