About us:
Venari Group Ltd is the largest and fastest growing emergency vehicle manufacturer in the UK, specialising in the conversion of Ambulances and Fire Appliances. Employing over 180 people across our 124,000 sq. ft. of manufacturing space in Goole and Brighouse, we are revolutionising our industry and making a real difference to our frontline key workers.
We are now continuing in our next phase of growth and are currently looking for the role of Production Assembler at our Brighouse site.
JOB SUMMARY
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Read, understand and follow technical drawing and specification sheets
- Use of hand tools to a high level of skill
- Use of cutting equipment
- Used to cutting, drilling and riveting
- Installing panels and lining
- Installing of seats
- Sealing
- Identify areas of possible improvement
- Adherence to Health, Safety and Environmental rules and regulations
- Responsible for good housekeeping, cleanliness and high standards in own area
- Reduce wastage by using raw materials and consumable items carefully
- Assist the Company in caring for the environment by disposing of waste products carefully
- Other duties as required
Skills and Experience
- Product knowledge of vehicle conversions is preferable
- Must be able to read and interpret technical drawings
- Must be flexible and reliable
- Must have good time keeping
- Must take a pride in their work and ensure work is completed to a high standard
- Attention to detail
- Experience and/or knowledge of a manufacturing environment is preferable
*training will be provided to fill any skills gaps if and as required at the discretion of the business.
We welcome experience from the following areas:
Coach building / Bench joinery / Bathroom fitting / Shop fitting / General Engineering / Fabrication / Complexed production assembly / Car manufacturing / Electrical fitting
The hours for this role are 8.00 am to 5.00 pm Monday to Thursday / 8.00 am to 2.15pm on Friday. This is based on 41.5 hours per week.
