Job description

The purpose of the Product Vision & Market Intelligence Project Manager role is to provide project planning and delivery expertise across our portfolio of products. This role will be key in ensuring the highest standards of project management disciplines are embedded in our product delivery, including planning, risk management, and business case delivery.

As a member of our Product team , you will be able to demonstrate a level of subject matter expertise in the key industries we operate in and we will look to you to bring specific experience of the Finance Digitalization and/or Subscription Management capabilities. We’re looking for someone who has a good understanding of how technology should be leveraged to support the needs of our clients and target markets.

The Product Vision & Market Intelligence Project Manager will have responsibility for:

  • Product Delivery – ensure all our products have a clear delivery plan across all departments within Aptitude. This will include working closely with Product Managers, Technology, Sales/GTM teams and Marketing teams to ensure a coherent end-to-end delivery and product launch plan.
  • Product Risk Management – ensure good risk and issue management processes are in place, with focus on ensuring timely resolution of issues and ensuring clear risk mitigations are in place and actioned.
  • Product Marketing – support the co-ordination of product marketing activity, with the primary aim of enabling Sales / GTM teams on the latest product features and capabilities. This will include supporting market research activities, competitor analysis and target market / client identification.
  • Product Business Cases – working closely with the Business Architects / Product Strategists and Product Managers, as new market / industry opportunities are identified a key responsibility will be to co-ordinate the development of business cases. This will require a clear articulation of the benefits case to build the rationale for incremental investment in R&D, and if once a business case is approved the role will require the monitoring and tracking of business case delivery (both costs and outcomes).

Ideally, you will be able to demonstrate a proven track records of the following key skills and experience:

  • Knowledge of Finance and/or Subscription Management business processes, operating models and the challenges our clients face.
  • Provide project management tracking and governance for the delivery of an assigned portfolio of projects.
  • Successfully maintain the risks and issues with the Project owners, ensuring clearly defined mitigation plans are in place.
  • Experience of tracking results / outcomes of programmes (OKRs) and tracking business cases delivery.
  • Escalation of project out-of-line situations including stakeholder communication and issue management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels: C-level, Product, IT , GTM / Sales and Project.
  • Maintain Product team communications and internal artefacts, including confluence, backlogs.
  • Maintain Product Marketing deliverables, ensuring collaboration across teams on content provision.
  • Structured and analytical mindset, with a passion for project delivery.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to engage with senior executives as well as within the Product development process.
  • Experience of undertaking market research and/or competitor analysis, in order to demonstrate the value-add of market hypothesis, including development of business cases to support product investment.
  • 2 – 5 years’ experience working in a Product department, or within a management consultancy, or within a Change Management function.
  • Hands-on Project Management experience, including direct experience of risk / issue management.
  • Experience working in Finance Transformation, Revenue Management or Subscription projects.
