Job Description
A great new role has come in for a Product Support Engineer/Technical Advisor for a multinational equipment manufacturer based in Biggleswade to provide all aspects of technical support to all departments and externally to customers regarding mobile and crawler cranes.
What will the right person look like?
The ideal candidate for the Product Support Engineer/Technical Advisor role will need an engineering qualification and experience/knowledge of mobile and crawler cranes in a similar role.
What will you be doing?
- Provide all aspects of technical support to all departments and externally to customers.
- Manage specific jobs and projects as appropriate and take responsibility for their completion.
- To participate in the management of warranty work, liaising with the factories and customers to achieve the best outcomes for all parties.
- To brief and deploy engineers as required, ensuring that optimum competencies and resources are applied to each job and project.
- To investigate or participate with others in the investigation of incidents, accidents or customer technical issues and report on these.
- Undertake to attend meetings and exhibitions off-site and overseas. This will include time spent away from home overnight.
- Participate in a rota-based out-of-hours call-out system
Hours/Salary/Benefits
The Product Support Engineer/Technical Advisor will be based in Biggleswade, Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week. Competitive salary, private healthcare, attractive pension scheme and 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
