Hilka Tools (UK) Ltd, a well-established manufacturer and wholesaler of tools, accessories, automotive lines and storage, is seeking a confident and motivated individual to join our Buying & Shipping team as a Buying and Product Assistant. In this role, you will contribute to purchasing and product data management across all our product lines, in addition to other exciting responsibilities.

We are looking for someone with a keen eye for detail, strong focus and excellent multitasking abilities. As a medium-sized business with a small close-knit team, Hilka offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director at our head office in Chessington, Surrey, the successful candidate will undertake a wide range of responsibilities encompassing the following areas:

Product Management:

· Maintain accurate product information across all our product lines.

· Assist with monthly stock purchasing activities.

· Create monthly promotions and manage pricing.

· Contribute to the creation of the annual Hilka catalogue.

· Complete customer new line forms and portals.

· Review and enhance historical packaging designs, promoting sustainability by reducing plastic usage.

· Collaborate with our photographer to enhance product imagery.

Product Creation:

· Conduct range reviews based on sales, competition, and our customer requirements.

· Work closely with the team and international suppliers in the development of new products.

· Assist in crafting compelling product descriptions and selling features.

· Participate in the approval and finalisation of artwork designs.

Product Implementation:

· Monitor sales performance to evaluate the effectiveness of promotions and identify missed opportunities on existing items.

· Leverage e-marketing tools such as social/business networking sites, and email campaigns to enhance Hilka's brand presence and drive web sales.

Shipping & Stock Management:

Support the shipping team to gain a comprehensive understanding of the entire process, including reviewing and confirming bookings with forwarders, creating consignments, and liaising with forwarders.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:

· Excellent multitasking skills and the ability to prioritise conflicting deadlines.

· Strong organisational skills with a proactive and independent approach.

· Keen attention to detail and an unwavering commitment to accuracy.

· Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications.

· Energetic and hands-on, with a positive "can-do" attitude.

· Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively as part of a team.

· Capacity to handle last-minute requests efficiently and effortlessly.

· Office based role in Chessington, Surrey.

· Previous experience in buying or product management within a related sector preferred but not essential.
