Why dose this job matter?
There is a significant opportunity in the Enterprise market unit to grow the security revenue through the sale of Firewall solutions to mid and large sized business either as standalone sales or as part of an integrated product sale such as SDWAN.
This role is important in defining the roadmap of the Firewall propositions and how it is aligned into the wider Enterprise Managed Services portfolio.
This role is key to being the bridge between the Global Firewall portfolio development and roadmap and how this can be translated into propositions for the Enterprise market.
What you’ll be doing while in this role:
  • In this role you will not have any direct reports
  • Input to 5-year portfolio strategy and annual planning
  • Decision maker for their portfolio including; launch, in-life, withdrawal and refresh product activities
  • Input into collaborative workshops with key stakeholders for the Enterprise Quarterly Investment Period (QIP) to bring product/solution ideas to life
  • Business case development & approval, market based pricing, customer and vendor contractual documentation
  • Production of sales and customer collateral to maximise sales opportunities, and support of associated bids
  • Simplification of service delivery and assurance processes for products in-life
  • Identifying and defining value added service opportunities to enhance margin
  • Competitive landscape tracking with a view to keeping BT security as a market leader
  • Own the development and launch of the Firewall portfolio into Enterprise (stand-alone and integrated with SDWAN)
  • In-life enhancements to the Enterprise Firewall propositions such as price changes, security feature enhancements
  • Liasing with the Global and Enterprise Security teams to optimise the customer experience.
  • Work with the framework teams to enable products to be sold via different routes to market

What skills you will need for the role:
You will have :
  • Proven delivery track record of meeting commitments to tight timescales
You may also have:
  • Product and/or Project Management experience
  • Detailed knowledge of the Enterprise Security Market
  • Vendor management
