Due to internal progression we are looking for a full-time Product Retoucher to join our fast-paced and creative production Studio.
We are looking for ambitious, passionate and motivated individuals to join our dynamic and talented team in our busy Tunbridge Wells Head Office. You will provide the finishing touches to the product imagery before they are used across our E-commerce platforms, making sure the product is presented true to form and to the highest quality.
You will be working Monday to Friday 11.45am - 7.45pm and every other Saturday 8am-4pm, with a day off in the week.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure colour consistency across all images, matching digital to physical samples and adjusting imagery from different cameras and settings
- Remove imperfections and unwanted details
- Create consistency on our product imagery including: advanced cloning and healing, composition, re-shaping, masking, cutting out, adding or removing shadows, changing light direction, applying new backgrounds, etc
- Adapt to new techniques and tools when introduced
- Crop and resize images to the required specifications for digital use
- Process, name, file and archive images consistently on our servers, following our requirements to allow easy file access
- Achieve daily and weekly targets and deadlines
- Communicate workflow and discuss any issues with the Studio Team Leaders and Seniors
- Take on board constructive comments and feedback on image correction
- Perform quality checks on all imagery before distribution to our network
- Continually check the live website for any photographic, retouching or styling errors to maintain Childrensalon’s high standards of image quality
- Stay up to date with industry trends and new technology
- When required you will be asked to help other teams within the Studio department
Key Skills:
- Highly skilled in Adobe Photoshop/Adobe Bridge
- Advanced knowledge and experience in photo shoot processes and image manipulation
- Excellent knowledge editing RAW images
- Strong proficiency in Mac OS
- Good experience of working with Wacom tablet and Pen
- Great skills of colour-management, colour-matching, and colour-correction
- A meticulous eye for detail, visual composition, and proportion
- Knowledge of web imagery and processes, appropriate dpi scale, pixel dimensions
- The ability to work towards multiple deadlines
- A positive, proactive, and assertive approach, being able to liaise with other departments
- Initiative, idea generation and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills, organisation, and time management skills
- The ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a team
- Creativity
Desirable Skills
- Background in accurate colour correction using physical and digital swatches.
- Photography and studio lighting
- Good understanding of the requirements and pace of an e-commerce business.
- Experience in fashion and within the luxury brands
