Purpose of role:
The Project Manager will manage cross-functional areas of project work while maintaining and communicating the wider portfolio of projects within Product.
The successful candidate will lead, track and report on the definition, delivery and/or deployment phases of the Project. Many different parts of the organisation need to be involved to achieve goals, some may have conflicting priorities and working practices may be very different. The Project Manager will need to operate in an objective manner, free from bias or agenda.
Key role responsibilities:
- Creating and driving project plans which include the different deliverables and checkpoints across all functions
- Tracking progress against the project plan
- Ensuring that deliverables are implemented within agreed criteria
- Analysing project performance
- Providing regular and accurate reports to stakeholders and sponsors
- Hold regular and ad-hoc Project meetings to consult with relevant stakeholders and cross-functional teams; obtain sign-offs as required
- Create a Project Dashboard for each project within the Portfolio, to be updated regularly showing progress against plan, risk register and Red, Amber, Green (RAG) status
- Handling multiple projects in parallel, based in multiple locations and with multiple dependencies, with minimal supervision
- Be an advocate for best practice, disciplines, and processes of project management
- Ability to manage both internal and external stakeholders
Essential Skills and Experience:
- IT knowledge including; Word, Excel, PowerPoint or equivalent
- Planning and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and deliver day to day tasks
- Ability to coordinate and deliver multiple tasks and responsibilities in accordance with agreed deadlines
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work flexibly, considering the global nature of the company and working with teams across multiple time zones
- Occasional travel could be required
- Ability to work in a matrix organization and managing projects with minimal supervision
- Full UK driving license and valid passport
Desirable Skills and Experience
- 2:1 Bachelor’s degree (or non-UK equivalent) in any discipline
- Formal project management training
- Experience in collaboration platforms; SharePoint, Jira, Project Central, OneDrive etc.
- Technology / development background is a plus
- Experience / knowledge of data quality and data management products in the market
