Product Owner - Payments (Faster Payments, Cheque Clearing, BACs etc)
London based Hybrid role
Salary £61,911 - £82,548 depending on experience, plus competitive package
Our Mission
In the Payments Services Platform, our mission is to provide compliant and efficient payments capabilities for the Group and drive innovation to enable customers to move money confidently, quickly and securely. The Payments Services Platform sits within Business & Commercial Banking and plays a critical role in providing services across the whole Group.
Our team
We're looking to recruit a Team Product Owner (PO) to work in our Domestic Payments Lab. We are responsible for over 4bn UK electronic Payments including Faster Payments, Cheque Clearing, BACS, Cash distribution and more. The changes we deliver must work first time, every time, 24 hours per day 7 days per week with a budget of over £40m. The team works closely with industry groups and regulators to protect the UK, the bank and customers.

What we need from you:
You’ll have the ability to craft a product vision and define work to be done linking the work to the objectives of the lab, platform and LBG
  • You can influence without authority, trusting and empowering the team with responsibility and are comfortable challenging colleagues from across the organisation.
  • You’ll have the ability to influence up and down the organisation and explain prioritisation decisions to senior colleagues.
  • You’ll have experience of building a phenomenal team environment that attracts and retains talent.
  • You’ll understand what it means to be a role model to support a culture where people can grow and develop.
What will be desirable:
  • You’ll have experience of working with payments processes and technology
  • You’ll have experience of working in an Agile delivery environment
  • You’ll have experience of financial management processes (e.g. managing project or team budgets)
