WHAT TO EXPECT
As a Product Owner in the Suspension Systems Function Group, you will work with the program teams and the Architecture Product Owner to drive the priorities and drumbeat of the suspension systems development squad. You'll support programs coming out of their concept phase, right up to production.
In this role you will be a champion for the use of Agile in the team, as well as having the following key accountabilities and responsibilities:
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
- Alongside the Architecture Product Owner, set and drive delivery direction (for the squad) through prioritisation of work by being a central decision maker for priorities based on business and customer impact
- Maximise the value of the output that the squad work on by using iterative ways of working to deliver value quicker and minimise risk
- Ability to challenge the status quo whilst not impacting deliverables
- Ensure upfront alignment and coordination with other interacting squads or groups
- Establish/Facilitate/Participate in key agile ceremonies
- Be a central point of contact for the Suspension Function Group Squad into the Program teams and forums
- Rapidly responding to changing customer needs through fast, regular feedback and reprioritisation
- Support Scrum Master in the development, implementation and adherence of Agile project management processes
- Confidently and clearly present issues and proposed feasibility solutions, as well as provide status on a regular basis to all stakeholder levels
- Set, monitor and challenge programme budget, both throughout the development phase and production phase of the programme
WHAT YOU NEED
Essential:
- Engineering degree qualified or equivalent experience
- Ability to manage projects across diverse teams and an ability to juggle multiple priorities
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written
- An individual with a customer first mindset who is easy to do business with, transparent and dependable
- An effective team player, actively shares learning and skills with team members
- Ability to adapt to the demands of high priority work streams in support of engineering delivery priorities
- Ability to troubleshoot and implement structured problem solving techniques
Desirable:
- Awareness of vehicle level attribute targets and the fundamentals of vehicle dynamics
- Experience and knowledge of Agile/Scrum product delivery methodology
- Experience of viewing/interrogating CAD models, assemblies and Engineering Bill of Materials
