Job description
** For UK based applicants. No recruitment agencies please **
Here at BelleVie we’re challenging the care sector to change.
Too long has adult social care been stigmatised, undervalued and under-resourced and we’re here to change that.
Our vision is to create a society where everyone is valued and supported, and we’re looking for a Marketplace Product Owner to join us on this journey. To supercharge our growth, enabling us to deliver our purpose driven social care and our “Thrive” Marketplace services to more people.
We’re committed to helping people live life to the fullest, not just surviving at home, but thriving. We believe that by creating meaningful relationships, individuals and communities can achieve this together.
We’re seeking someone who shares these values, isn’t afraid to challenge the status quo with ambitious and bold solutions, and wants to make a real difference to the lives of those receiving and giving care.
Thrive with BelleVie project
Our Thrive project aims to expand our core offering (Care Services) by adding trusted products and services to our portfolio to ultimately support more people to thrive in all aspects of their lives while living at home.
Our experience supporting older people showed there was a gap in the market for a managed-marketplace, offering recommended products and services tailored to the needs of older people living at home. Our initial, manual marketplace has proved successful. We now need someone to take those learnings, and design and implement a digital marketplace solution that can scale to meet the huge unmet need.
The Marketplace Product Owner will:
- Own, define and manage the Thrive Marketplace product strategy from a business perspective, based on customer and stakeholder needs and market research.
- Work with a large and varied group of stakeholders on the Thrive marketplace project (e.g. end users, partners, care teams, marketeers, development team).
- Work closely with the Technical Product Owner and his in-house software development team who will build the digital marketplace platform.
- Work closely with Marketing Leader who has overall responsibility for BelleVie’s growth, including the Thrive marketplace; collaborating with her specifically on the Go To Market strategy for Thrive.
- Ensure that the Thrive marketplace digital platform meets customer needs and is delivered on time and within budget.
- Report back to our grant funding body, Innovate UK on progress at quarterly review meetings.
- Review our latest market research and work with existing end users of the Thrive marketplace services, the family members or care workers who may book services for them, and the partners who supply the Thrive services to dig into the reasons why the current marketplace works, but also what could make it even better.
- Review the current manual processes, pain points and huge opportunities to automate the back office and partner relationships, whilst also preserving the human elements that are important to our elderly target audience in our highly “managed” marketplace.
- Co-design the digital version of our Thrive marketplace with end users, creating user journeys covering both online and offline processes.
- Ensure that the product is compliant with all relevant regulations and standards, and manage any legal or ethical considerations related to the Thrive marketplace.
The person we want:
- Always champions the end user
- Loves producing great user experiences and has tonnes of evidence of creating outstanding and effective user journeys
- Is highly skilled in identifying customer needs, analysing data, and making data-driven decisions
- Understands how to bridge the divide between the real and digital worlds
- Applies design thinking, and understands how techniques such as Impact mapping, Customer segmentation and Customer journey mapping, Business Model Canvas, Empathy mapping, Value proposition canvas, etc can be used in practice
- Is located in the Thames Valley or North East ideally
We promise you:

- We count outcomes not hours, but expect this role to be your full time work.
- A supportive environment, working in a team with a variety of skills and experience who will enable you to be the best you can.
- Working from home, with occasional visits to Oxfordshire and/or Northumberland.
